From the canopy to the wetlands and riverbanks — emblematic, common, uncommon and genuinely rare sightings. We search on foot, quietly by motor canoe for visibility, and by rowing to slip unnoticed into the most distant waters.

Around 20 macaws & parrots, 10 toucans & barbets, 30 raptors including the Harpy, Crested and Ornate Hawk-Eagles and the King Vulture, the Amazonian umbrellabird, owls, potoos, 5 kingfishers, hummingbirds, manakins, antbirds, tanagers, the Hoatzin and much, much more.

The legendary bushmaster (Lachesis muta), fer-de-lance, boa constrictor, green anaconda, rainbow boa and coral snakes; glass frogs, horned frogs, poison-dart frogs, the bizarre Pipa pipa; matamata, yellow-spotted river turtles, black, white and dwarf caimans.
